Monterey Ski and Social Club to hold Members Night at Cibo Ristorante Italiano on Wednesday, October 28, 2015

The Monterey Ski and Social Club ((www.MontereySki.org) will hold a New Members Night open to the public on Wednesday, October 28^th at Cibo Ristorante Italiano, located at 301 Alvarado in Downtown Monterey. The event starts at 6:00 p.m., with short announcements at 7:00 p.m. The entry fee of $10 will cover delicious appetizers. There will also be separately charged Happy Hour-priced $3 house wines, well drinks and beers.  Members and prospective members are invited to attend. Call Greg at 831-224-2433 with questions. MSSC is a year-round, 110-member organization that coordinates group-priced activities such as summer white-water rafting, trips to Lake Tahoe for winter adventures, Yosemite, Big Sur and Theater Trips along with weekly Friday Night Happy Hours. MSSC provides volunteers for various races at Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca, the Sea Otter Classic and Pebble Beach. Through fundraisers and volunteering MSSC donates over $2,000 a year to local charities and worthy causes. Meetings are held monthly around the Monterey Peninsula.

MSSC (www.MontereySki.org) was founded in 1995 and is celebrating its 21^st year of fun and community service. It was selected as the "Outstanding Charity and Community Service Club" in the Far West Ski Association for 2009 and 2011 and received a second place award in 2014. Andrea's Fault Trio will perform from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. and attendees are welcome to stay for dinner or dessert until 10:00 p.m. Cocktails are available until 1:30 a.m.

On Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, the cool sound of Jazz accompanies dinner from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. The restaurant features a lively and fun atmosphere with Reggae, R&B, Rock or Salsa dance music on Friday and Saturday nights from 9:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. with no cover charge.  There is also the popular "Happy Hour Jazz Jam" from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. every first and third Sunday of the month which includes Happy Hour food and drink specials. Cibo is now “wired” with free Internet service.

With 150 seats, including intimate booths for dining , and room for over 50 people in the attractive bar area, Cibo also accommodates large groups for business functions, wedding rehearsals and receptions, special group dining events, and customized private parties.  NEW!
