New Executive Director and Team Members Join Madonna Gardens & Assisted Living

  

October, 2022.  Salinas, CA.    Madonna Gardens Assisted Living & Memory Care, located at 1335 Byron Street in Salinas, recently hosted an Open House for select guests on September 24th. City officials, community partners, residents and family members enjoyed a live performance by the Thom Cuneo Jazz band in the community’s beautiful courtyard alongside a delicious buffet.  

During the event, Madonna Gardens was honored to receive a Certificate of Recognition presented by Marisa Hernandez, representing California State Senator Anna Caballero, and a Certificate of Appreciation from City of Salinas City Councilmember, Steve McShane.       

Founded in 1966, and formerly known as Madonna Manor, Madonna Gardens Assisted Living & Memory Care provides compassionate care for seniors in a beautiful, nurturing environment. Located near Downtown Salinas, just off Highway 68, the recently renovated community features six acres of outdoor gardens, courtyards and walking paths - perfect for relaxing and soaking in the sunshine with family and friends. New Executive Director and Team Members Join Madonna Gardens

 

Tyler Barnes, Executive Director

Born and raised in Southern California, Tyler Barnes has been in the senior living industry for over 9 years including in the Sacramento and Los Angeles areas. He has served as an Executive Director for the past 3 and half years. Working with seniors is his passion along with improving their quality of life. His hobbies include traveling, golf, and visiting with friends and family. Tyler has a younger sister who plays professional soccer in Seattle, WA.

Francesca Caver, LVN, Assisted Living Director 

Francesca is a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) with an extensive background in senior living. Her past experience includes various roles as home health companion, CNA, charge nurse with a background in infection prevention, and serving on the Santa Clara County COVID vaccination team. Francesca loves working with seniors, and treating the residents like family. She also enjoys getting to know the resident’s families so that she and her team can carry on the traditions that make the Madonna Gardens community members feel at home. Francesca also likes hiking, traveling, cooking, reading, painting and spending time with her son and cat.

Vanessa Quaresma, Culinary Services Director 

Vanessa Quaresma is a Portuguese American Chef who has always enjoyed cooking. In 2014, she graduated from Cabrillo College with a Culinary Art & Hospitality Management Degree. Vanessa worked in the culinary area at Hotel Paradox in Santa Cruz as well as at Google in Sunnyvale. She was also a food service worker at Natividad Hospital and a Chef in Pebble Beach, CA. Vanessa has a passion for cooking and is also growing her own garden at home. She believes that “food is life” and is happy to share her food experiences with the residents at Madonna Gardens. Vanessa is also a mother who loves to sing and dance when she's cooking in the kitchen.
