Chris and Sabu J.R. Shake, Team Up with Salvation Army of the Monterey Peninsula to Raise Money to Buy Turkeys for Families in Need for Thanksgiving

November 18, 2020. Monterey, CA. Please help families in need this Thanksgiving and donate a turkey! Once again, Chris Shake and Sabu J.R. Shake are teaming up with The Salvation Army of the Monterey Peninsula to help raise money to buy turkeys for families in need this Thanksgiving.  

Now more than ever, some of our local families cannot afford a Thanksgiving dinner for their family on their own. Let’s put a smile on their faces.

Turkeys (16-18 lbs) are only $20 each and making a donation is easy.  Donate by calling (831) 372-2406 or email [email protected]. Checks and credit cards will be accepted. They will take your order and deliver it to families in need.  In return for a donation, each donor’s name will be placed in a “Thank You” ad.

Owners of Old Fisherman’s Grotto, Scales Seafood & Steaks and The Fish Hopper in their Pacific Restaurant Group, in 2019, Chris and Sabu J.R. Shake were able to raise $32,150.00 to purchase over 1,606 turkeys which helped feed over 7,000 people. Help them break the record and reach a goal of over 2,000 turkeys this year.

The Sabu Shake, Sr. Good Samaritan Center will distribute the turkeys to families in need.
