COMMERCIAL KITCHEN INCUBATOR INVITED TO WINTER FANCY FOOD SHOW

           

Watsonville-based El Pajaro CDC is one of two kitchen incubators invited to showcase at the 41st Winter Fancy Food Show at the Moscone Center in San Francisco

            Watsonville, CA (01/16/16) – El Pajaro Community Development Corporation announced that nine of the clients from its Commercial Kitchen Incubator will showcase their products during the Specialty Food Association's 41st Winter Fancy Food Show, which takes place at the Moscone Center in San Francisco January 17-19.  This marks the first time the organization will have booth space at the annual trade show.  It is one of two food incubators from the nation invited to the event. The other is La Cocina of San Francisco.

            The Commercial Kitchen Incubator, which opened in the summer of 2013, currently has over 20 clients involved in food processing, production, and catering. Three businesses will showcase each day in an area known as Incubator Row. Those attending include: Ambling Ambystoma Farm with its organic berry syrups; A. Persoff and Son with their apple cider vinegar; Teresa's Gourmet Foods with its salsas; Burn Fermented Hot Sauce; Kitchen Witch Bone Broth; My Mom's Mole; AlkemiBAR with its raw vegan bars; Naturali with its home-style granola; and Yoli's Adobo with its meat marinade.

            “When we received the invitation, I knew this would be a huge opportunity for exposure for our clients. This is an event with over 80,000 products on display. It's an invaluable chance for them to meet and network with other producers, explore scaling up their distribution, and gain insight from many with a lot of experience in the industry,” said Carmen Herrera-Mansir, executive director of El Pajaro CDC.

            The Winter Fancy Food Show is the largest specialty food trade event on the West Coast and a showcase of industry innovation, bringing specialty food's top manufacturers, buyers, and thought leaders together under one roof for three days of delectable discovery. Established in 1952, the Specialty Food Association is a not-for-profit trade association providing its members the tools, knowledge and connections to support a thriving specialty food marketplace.
